Uttarakhand Tourism Minister, Dinesh Dhanai, on Friday came up with a good news for Char Dham Pilgrims. “The Karnataka government will restart the process of providing 30 percent subsidy to Uttarakhand Char Dham pilgrims”, he quoted. He further said that the subsidy would come from the Endowment and Muzarai Department.
The subsidy was revoked by the government, but they have again agreed to extend the same to pilgrims. “All state governments provide this subsidy to help pilgrims from all walks of life to witness the piousness of all dhams”, Dhanai said in the inauguration ceremony of the three-day long Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) being held at Bengaluru.
The Tourism Minister also said that the government started Chardham Yatra in winters to mitigate the peak season rush.
